The architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) sectors are currently at a crucial turning point. The call for less land consumption, more sustainability and real (digital) innovation is getting louder and louder. As the source of almost 40% of CO2 emissions, the construction industry has enormous potential to reduce the negative environmental impact on our planet. In the future, the green transformation will present itself not just as a marketing tool, but as a real necessity for change. From reducing carbon footprints to redefining resource consumption, adopting sustainable practices is critical to our collective wellbeing. At the same time, digital transformation is proving to be a catalyst for innovation in the AEC industry. Technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and emissions management are changing the way we plan, design and build in the future.

THE ONLINE SEMINAR SERIES
Online seminar 1: Construction industry - sustainability – digitalization: Contradiction or opportunity for change
01.02.2024 (Thursday), from 14.00 to 15.30 CET
Cluster TEC - Technology enabled construction - will provide an overview of the European construction sector, by exploring how digitalization and the green transition address issues like skilled labor shortages, low digitalization, post-Covid impacts, and alarming waste generation. Discover the latest technologies, focusing on BIM, and learn how digitalization drives sustainability. Engage with industry experts, ask questions, and be part of the discussion shaping the industry's future.

Online seminar 2: Digital planning and production - modern timber construction as a playground for innovation
14.03.2024 (Thursday), from 14.00 to 15.30 CET
Digital transformation creates innovations in construction. Using timber construction as an example, we will show how computing power in planning and digitalisation in production lead to innovative architectural solutions in our built environment. Increased efficiency and precision as well as material savings are just some of the effects that have a positive and lasting impact on our quality of life.

Online seminar 3: Digital tools as the basis for green change
18.04.2024 (Thursday), from 14:00 to 15:30 CET
Up to 90% of CO2 emissions are not generated in the actual production process, but along the entire supply chain. We present an emissions management tool that connects a company with all its suppliers and provides the basis for data-driven decisions to reduce the carbon footprint.

Online seminar 4: Innovative ways of working - New challenges require new approaches
14.05.2024 (Tuesday), from 14.00 to 15.30 CET
We will show you innovative strategies for problem solving and communication. These should help you to identify the innovation potential of your company and develop new business models in a playful way.
